Position summary:

This position will have a broad range of technical, day-to-day finance/accounting, responsibilities. Duties include involvement with revenue recognition and compliance, journal entry processing, forecasting and budgeting, revenue and gross margin analysis, monthly close activities, cost accounting, as well as involvement in annual audit and consolidation reporting. Participate in special finance projects as assigned.

Key Responsibilities:

• Support monthly G/L closing, including journal entries, account reconciliations, and analysis
• Complete 7th day webforms in Hyperion Financial Management (HFM)
• Preparation of daily reports
• Manage Taylor Hobson US business invoicing, accounts receivables and sales tax submissions
• Bi-weekly payroll – provide corporate payroll team with the hours and commission information for payroll runs. Process relevant reports, and accounting entries as required
• SOX reporting deliverables include testing and compliance, process narratives and remediation of control deficiencies
• Assist with implementing and maintaining internal financial controls and procedures
• Interface with outside/internal advisers and auditors related to compliance including SOX, Internal Audit and External Auditors
• Complete various intercompany accounting transactions
• Collaborate with others to support functions including Sales Order Processing (SOP), Operations and Sales
• Support Business Unit Finance Team on deliverables
• Conduct ad hoc analysis as requested

Job Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business Administration
• Minimum three to five years of experience in finance/accounting
• Understanding of US GAAP accounting principles and the Sarbanes-Oxley Act (SOX)
• Ability to work independently across multiple tasks with minimal supervision and as a part of the team
• Continuous improvement mindset
• Experience with Navision is preferred but not required
