Job Summary

We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Finance Coordinator to support financial management, reporting, and compliance at our Baljevac manufacturing site. The role ensures adherence to Serbian accounting standards, tax regulations, and labor law requirements, while also providing accurate and timely reporting to Group Finance in Maribor. Acting as a link between local operations and Group Finance, the Finance Coordinator consolidates local financial data, prepares reports and analyses, and supports planning activities to ensure transparency and alignment with Group standards.

This is a local on-site position. Compensation starting from 700 - 850 EUR net per month, depending on experience.

Key Responsibilities

Financial Operations & Reporting

  • Support day-to-day financial operations, ensuring compliance with Serbian accounting standards, tax regulations, and Group reporting requirements.
  • Prepare and compile balance sheet, profit and loss, and cash flow statements for Group Finance in Maribor.
  • Provide tailored financial reports and analyses to Baljevac site management and other departments as required.
  • Ensure reconciliations and documentation are complete and available for audits and reporting.
  • Assist with maintaining and updating local finance policies, procedures, and records.

Budgeting, Forecasting & Planning

  • Assist in the preparation of annual budgets, rolling forecasts, and financial planning in coordination with Group Finance.
  • Support monitoring of plant costs, preparing variance reports and cost analyses.
  • Provide data and draft calculations to support evaluation of investment proposals.
  • Prepare background analyses and reports to assist management decision-making.
  • Contribute suggestions for improving cost control and efficiency.

Coordination & Communication

  • Act as a contact point between the Baljevac site and Maribor/Group Finance on financial matters.
  • Consolidate accounting and cost data into reports for site and Group use.
  • Collaborate with HR, Procurement, Logistics, Production, and other functions to ensure timely financial information flow.
  • Provide requested data and analyses to support site management and other department needs.

ERP & System Support

  • Support the transition to the new ERP system (Microsoft D365/Navision or similar).
  • Ensure timely and accurate data input into the ERP system.
  • Provide user feedback and assist with digitalization initiatives.
  • Willingness to learn ERP functionalities; prior experience is an advantage but not required.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Economics, or related field.
  • Minimum 3–5 years of experience in finance, accounting, or controlling, preferably in a manufacturing environment.
  • Knowledge of Serbian accounting standards, tax regulations, and compliance requirements.
  • Solid accounting knowledge with ability to prepare and interpret balance sheets and financial statements.
  • Experience in financial reporting and audits.
  • Advanced Excel skills and strong IT literacy.
  • Analytical and detail-oriented with problem-solving ability.
  • Good communication skills and ability to collaborate across teams.
  • Fluency in Serbian and English (Group working language).

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience in an international corporate environment.
  • Exposure to ERP rollouts, digitalization, or finance transformation projects.
  • Experience preparing investment or business case analyses.
