Process Engineer

DPM Metals Inc is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties; DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada;

For the needs of our “Čoka Rakita” Project department in the in the territory of the municipality of Žagubica, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Process Engineer position.

Role Purpose:

To provide Mineral processing engineering services, project management and problem resolution during study, planning (FEL), execution, commissioning and handover phases, to ensure efficient and timely completion of projects in compliance with required standards, Company procedures and Environment, Health and Safety regulations in multinational settings, in accordance with the Serbian Mining law.

Description of responsibilities:

• Coordinates and manages engineering consultants, contractors, suppliers, and fabricators related to the mineral processing discipline;
• Liaises with internal and external project stakeholders at Group level;
• Delegates tasks, sets clear objectives, and oversees the performance and development of direct reports and cross-disciplinary team members;
• Ensures compliance with procedures, safety standards, and environmental requirements, while promoting safe and efficient work practices;
• Manages mineral processing engineering design development from concept phase through commissioning and operational handover;
• Oversees engineering, project, and field resources, while controlling costs to achieve budget targets;
• Reviews and approves technical specifications, cost estimates, bills of materials, and project budget inputs;
• Evaluates and adjudicates bids, quotations, and tenders for engineering, equipment supply, fabrication, and installation works;
• Prepares and manages tender documentation, scopes of work, pricing, schedules, and contract administration correspondence, including technical queries, meeting minutes, and change requests;
• Identifies opportunities for process improvement, optimization, cost reduction, and schedule enhancement, and recommends corrective actions where needed;
• Supports commissioning, start-up activities, and transition to the Operations team, while also providing technical support to other discipline engineers;
• Interfaces with suppliers, consultants, contractors, construction service providers, and the Independent Construction Control (ICC) on technical and project matters;
• Ensures that equipment, materials, and construction activities are delivered in accordance with specifications, scope of work, and contractual requirements;
• Participates in incident and accident investigations, ensures outcomes are communicated, and delivers required safety training and records for subordinates;

Requirements:

• University degree in Chemical Engineering, Process Engineering, or Mining Engineering with a specialization in Mineral Processing;
• Minimum 2 years of relevant experience in mineral processing, process engineering, or mineral processing plant design;
• Good knowledge of mineral processing principles, equipment, and plant operations;
• Strong organizational, communication, and teamwork skills;
