PURCHASING
SPECIALIST
Qualifications/Requirements:
- University Degree in Business, Finance or Logistics
- Postgraduate degree will be considered an asset
- Fluency in English (written & verbal)
- Interpersonal skills; dynamism, proactive cooperation
- Skill in establishing and maintaining effective working relationships
- Five years of buying experience

Essential Responsibilities:
- Implement purchasing strategies, market research and analysis
- Responsible for supplier profiling and selection, benchmarking and networking
- Negotiate collaboration terms
- Achieve lowest possible cost for material, balanced against optimum quality and schedule needs
- Examine and analyze departmental purchase requisitions for completeness and accuracy of information; contact department requisitioners to clarify or complete information; determine method to process requisition based on timeliness required, existing open contracts, and/or competitive bidding
- Complete purchase orders and follow-up for the timely delivery of products and/or services
