Financial Analyst (Reconciliation department)

About the Role 

EXANTE is looking for a detail-oriented professional to join our international team. This role offers insight into the high-speed data flow powering a global brokerage. You will ensure the accuracy and integrity of vast datasets, bridging finance and technology. Key responsibilities include validating data from complex financial systems and driving automation to streamline data processing and reconciliation at scale.

Reporting Line: Head of Reconciliations and Regulatory Reporting

Worksite: Remote with offices available across the globe

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and validate high-volume financial transactions, ensuring data integrity across multiple systems.
• Conduct daily analysis and reconciliation of complex datasets, identifying and resolving discrepancies in asset positions, cash balances, and trade executions.
• Serve as a key point of contact, communicating with internal and external parties to resolve complex data-flow inquiries.
• Analyze existing workflows to identify and suggest process improvements, with a clear goal of driving full automation.
• Create and maintain high-quality documentation for our business processes, contributing to our standard of excellence.
• Generate ad-hoc reports and manage specialized cases as they arise.

Qualifications:

Essential

• Strong understanding of financial markets, including stocks, bonds, forex, and derivatives.
• Proven ability to manage priorities and meet strict deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• An exceptionally high level of attention to detail.
• Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, including complex data manipulation.
• Fluent verbal and written English communication skills.

Preferred

• Experience in position keeping, reconciliation, and the settlement of financial instruments.
• Experience participating in the implementation or enhancement of back-office systems.
• A strong aptitude for technology and data analysis tools; experience with Python, PowerQuery, or PBI is highly advantageous as you will be at the forefront of our data-driven processes.
• Experience in defining requirements for software solutions.
