Piraeus Bank is currently expanding its operations in Serbia and is looking for a highly qualified professional for the following position in Finance Division, Accounting Department, situated in Bank HQ in Belgrade

Senior Accountant

Main duties and responsibilities:

• Process the data and prepare reports for NBS and other local authorities (daily – monthly – quarterly)
• Actively participate in the preparation of monthly, quarterly and yearly statutory
• Performs various ad-hoc analyses relevant to the operations performed in accounting department
• Interpret the efforts of the accounting policies in business decisions
• Coach less experienced personnel and help them resolve operational problems.

Specific requirements:

• Good knowledge of the banking business
• Good knowledge of the domestic accounting regulations
• Knowledge of the tax regulations
• Ability to work in banking software packages

General requirements:

• University degree - major in economics, accounting and finance
• Good communicational and analytical skills
• Ability to work under pressure and commit to team work
• Good knowledge of both  spoken and written English
• Very good knowledge of MS office (mainly excel)
• 4 years of solid banking professional experience on the same position
