Structural Engineer

DPM Metals Inc. is a Canadian-based, international mining company engaged in the acquisition, exploration, development, mining, and processing of precious metals properties. DPM operates across Serbia, Bulgaria, Bosnia and Ecuador with headquarters in Toronto, Canada.

For the needs of our “Čoka Rakita” Project department in the in the territory of the municipality of Žagubica, we are currently looking to recruit a candidate for the Structural Engineer position.

Role Purpose:

To support the successful delivery of projects by contributing to the design, construction, commissioning, and handover phases, ensuring that project objectives are achieved within budget, schedule, and required safety and environmental standards. The role includes proposing technical solutions, coordinating consultants, and supporting the transition from design to construction and commissioning.

Description of responsibilities:

• Coordinates and manages structural engineering activities, including consultants, contractors, suppliers, and project stakeholders, to ensure efficient project execution;
• Oversees technical design development, engineering deliverables, specifications, cost estimates, schedules, and compliance with applicable standards, legislation, and Company procedures;
• Supervises construction, installation, and contractor performance to ensure works are executed safely, on time, within budget, and in line with project objectives and quality requirements;
• Supports commissioning, performance testing, as-built documentation, reporting, and coordination across all project disciplines to ensure smooth project delivery and handover;
• Manages and develops team members through task delegation, performance monitoring, training, and clear communication of objectives and expectations;
• Ensures full compliance with health, safety, environmental, and operational requirements, including incident investigation, safety instruction, and reinforcement of safe work practices;

Requirements:

• University degree in Civil Engineering with a focus on Structural Engineering;
• Relevant experience in structural design, construction, or project execution;
• Good knowledge of steel and concrete structures and related engineering documentation;
• Ability to work with contractors, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams;
• Good command of English, both written and spoken;
