For our office in Belgrade, Serbia we are looking for:
System Administrator
Key Qualifications:
- Educated to at least first degree level in Computer-Science, Electronics, Mathematics, Theoretical Physics, Mechanical engineering, Technology, Management or similar
- A good working knowledge of Redhat / Centos / Oracle Enterprise Linux.
- A good working knowledge of Windows 2003 upwards
- Familiarity with VMWare and the ability to use the vSphere client.
- Windows DNS and Bind Experience.
- A good understanding of Windows clustering including Exchange and SQL.
- A good working knowledge of Application Servers – File/Print/Mail/DNS/NTP/DHCP/Antivirus.
- Microsoft Active Directory Experience.
Desirable:
- F5 BIG-IP Load Balancers
- Apache and IIS Webservers
- Bash/Powershell scripting
- Tomcat, JBoss familiarity
Interpersonal skills:
- Excellent English including written and spoken skills.
- Strong analytical and numerical skills.
- Multitasking work, with more critical issues at same moment, ordering by priorities and escalation of critical
- Demonstrated ability to work calmly and methodically under pressure, when diagnosing and escalating problems
- Proactive attitude toward problems
- Demonstrated motivation, flexibility, dynamic, ambitious and ‘can do’ attitude.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; ability to follow simple procedures in writing or verbally; good phone skills
- Ability to build relationships and liaise successfully with other teams.
- Able to follow instructions and comply to a change management process.
- Keeping high standards in work
- Previous experience within the online sector highly desirable.
Your Responsibilities:
- Familiarity with an operating system and its commands/utilities at a user level; ability to edit files, use basic utilities and commands, check log files, reboot servers and all other basic administration tasks
- Perform basic backup/restore tasks, such as restoring users files.
- Follow procedures and processes for monitoring systems across all environments
- Provide technical support on a 24x7 rotation basis for IT production systems.
- The ability to use all monitoring tools to provide basic fault finding. Be able to escalate any issues to the London based teams.
- Maintain and update systems documentation.
- Perform basic administration tasks within VMWare,
- Perform basic administration tasks for the Windows operating systems, including performing patching schedules using WSUS as detailed by the London based teams.
- Perform basic Windows AD and exchange activities and manage service desk tickets for the Systems Infrastructure team
- Perform monitoring and escalation for the F5 BigIP load balancers.
- Perform Antivirus compliance work and ensure all servers are kept updated.
- Perform any documented task given by the London based teams
- Strong ability to learn; ability to follow instructions well; strong analytical skills. The ability to liaise and take instruction from the London based teams is essential.
- A basic administration of deployment systems such as perforce and anthill.
