We are seeking a detail-oriented accountant to manage our Accounts Payable process and expense report processing.  The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills and an understanding of accounting principles.

Our new hire will be responsible for managing the ordering activity for the organization, including timely and accurate entry and processing of all orders received.  Order management includes order entry, creation of purchase orders, order acknowledgement and keeping customers informed on delivery dates.

Job description:

• Process and verify invoices, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies
• Match purchase orders with vendor invoices and reconcile discrepancies
• Prepare and process payments (checks, ACH, and wire transfers) in a timely manner
• Maintain accurate records of all transactions in the accounting system
• Communicate with vendors to resolve payment inquiries or discrepancies
• Assist with month-end closing and financial reporting tasks
• Ensure compliance with internal controls and accounting principles
• Collaborate with internal teams, including procurement and finance, to streamline accounts payable processes
• Review submitted expense reports regularly to ensure timely payment processing

Position requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field
• Experience in accounts payable or general accounting preferred
• Proficiency in accounting software (e.g., QuickBooks, SAP) and Microsoft Excel
• Knowledge of GAAP and financial reporting principles is a plus
