Join Our Team as a Dispatcher!
We are currently recruiting a professional, experienced, and reliable dispatcher to be our company’s first point of contact for emergency and non-emergency calls.
Responsibilities:
- Answer emergency and non-emergency calls, documenting important information.
- Respond to issues and coordinate with appropriate departments or field units.
- Operate and manage a multi-line telephone console system.
- Address queries related to products and deliveries.
- Prioritize and organize calls based on urgency.
- Supervise the route and status of field units to optimize their daily schedules.
- Maintain and update call logs, records, and other documentation.
- Establish and maintain personal relationships with drivers through daily communication.
- Verify pick-up and delivery appointments with shippers and receivers.
- Collect all Bills of Lading (BOLs) and Proofs of Delivery (PODs) before drivers leave.
Requirements:
- Minimum of two years of dispatch experience (preference for candidates with established accounts/contacts).
- At least one year of experience at a transportation company.
- Fluency in English (both written and verbal) is essential; all interviews will be conducted in English.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Service-oriented with a focus on maintaining a good reputation with brokers, drivers, and customers.
- Ability to work well under pressure.
