Job Overview
We are seeking a motivated, adaptable, and detail-oriented Business Operations Specialist to support our leadership team with key operational and business functions. In this role, you will help ensure smooth day-to-day operations, manage internal processes, communicate with vendors, and collaborate across departments. The ideal candidate has a background in business, finance, or economics, is hungry to learn, and thrives in a dynamic work environment.
Responsibilities
- Work closely with company leadership to manage various business and operational tasks and ensure ongoing tasks and projects are completed in a timely manner
- Verify Invoices against budgets and ensure they are processed on time
- Collaborate with the Serbia & US Accounting team to ensure smooth financial operations
- Review, understand, and request minor modifications to contracts or terms & conditions, with input from attorneys and leadership team
- Research best practices and create business processes based on available resources
- Work with HR on administrative and operational tasks
- Provide support for creating business presentations and slide decks
- Assist with various form completion and ensure all data is accurate and properly organized
- Manage communication with vendors, billing departments, and other external parties
- Maintain a task list and stay organized to meet deadlines
Requirements
- 2-5 years of relevant experience in operations, business analysis, or a similar role
- Degree in Business, Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Strong English skills, both written and verbal. Experience using tools like ChatGPT or Grammarly is a plus
- Ability to handle numbers accurately and review invoices against budgets
- Persistence in following up on tasks and working towards long-term goals
- Highly organized with the ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks efficiently
- Willing to learn, improve, and adapt to changing business needs
- Familiarity with project management tools
- Experience using billing software is a plus
- Willingness to work US hours (EST time zone) for meetings and follow-ups when necessary (1-2 times per week)
