Senior Software Engineer - Team Manager

As a Senior Software Engineer – Team Manager you will be responsible for leading a team of 10+ engineers. We are looking for a positive and professional senior level software engineer with at least 2 years of experience in a leadership role, including experience with recruitment of new engineers, team motivation skills, performance reviews, and overall management of projects and teams. Qualified candidate should possess exceptional communication and multitasking skills, high degree of emotional intelligence and familiarity with business processes. Both technical and management skills are important for this position.

Responsibilities may include any of the following:

• Functional manager for a team of 10+ engineers
• HR responsibilities: recruitment, motivation, performance appraisals, etc.
• Organization and overseeing team communication with clients: live meetings, email correspondence, reporting, etc.
• Project Management: project planning, milestones/deadlines date definition, scope of work assessment, etc.
• Technical knowledge of all the relevant products and projects, software architecture and design within a team
• Involvement in code and documentation review
• Writing code

• Senior software development experience
• 2+ years in leadership/management role
• Strong technical background with C++ on Linux platform
• Strong experience in software architecture/design
• Experience with various development/managemenet tools, such as source control systems (Perforce, SVN, etc.), bug trackers (Bugzilla, Mantis, Team Track, etc.), code review tools (Code Collaborator), wikis , Microsoft Project, Celoxis etc.
• Excellent communication skills. Experience in communication with foreign partners
• Ability to anticipate potential problems, determine and implement solutions
• Strong coaching skills. Ability to step outside the role and help with teaching and professionally developing other team members
• Ability to work under pressure and meet tight deadlines
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and conceptual skills
• Technical background with low level system programming is a plus
