Site Procurement Engineer

We are looking for SITE PROCUREMENT ENGINEER to join our team in Niš, Serbia.

General purpose of the job: 

• Support the preparation of winning quotations with DMC quotation;
• As part of the project team, execute and ensure the correct set up of system for purchasing components;
• To ensure the availability of components in plant for sample builds;
• To manage the BOM Cost and material prices accuracy, adjustments, reduction and validation. To work actively to optimize the margin on the components and profitability.

Main duties and responsibilities:

In the Quotations:

• Participates in Quotation team, managing all activities to provide BOM quotation BOM upload / extract in BuyManager;
• Identify the items that are common to existing project and update Commodity Management Group with consolidated RFQ BOM via BuyManager software;
• Propose margins on components;
• Fill Freight-in Costs in quotation;
• Alternative proposal and combination for Best Of Best.

 In the NPI Process:  

• Ensuring the correct set up of system for mass production purchasing;
• Inputs from the quotation, output is working system to order components on time at best price; 
• Confirming the quoted BOM: compatibility of Incoterms, MOQs, payment terms etc.
• Generate a report regarding the supplier's payment term alignment (IMI's quoted payment term to customer vs. supplier) and collaborate with Commodity Team to have better payment term improvement for cash cycle improvement;
• BOM supply risk analysis;
• BOM cost monitoring during NPI;
• Validation of the BOM in SAP, prior to SOP, to assure that it is matching the quotation in terms of awarded sources, quota shares, etc.

 In the NPI sample stage: 

• Ensuring the availability of components in plant for sample builds and ramp-up
• BOM risk management: material shortage mitigation, and management of material related risk to improve NPI lead times.
• Support the project schedule by following up delivery of samples’ components Negotiation of component prices for sample builds
• Sends orders for samples’ delivery to the corresponding suppliers based on the required volumes in MRP or upon PM request. Authority to place manual POs/ create manual PRs : Short leadtimes, short MoQ, open market, OTBs etc
• Approval of invoices with price discrepancies by agreement with Project Manager
• Monitors order confirmations and delivery execution for 100% conformity of the quantities and dates as well as term of delivery.
• Manages and executes EPCN related to price update in SAP
• Controls return to the suppliers in case of logistic non-conformity; supports by creating return PO in case of quality non-conformity

 In Mass Production:

• Conduct regular BOM cost review and help to formulate and monitor the action plans in order to have better BOM cost management, including price reduction opportunities through VA/VE methodology.
• Monitor the direct material cost and coordinate the price reduction opportunities with PM and Commodity via quarterly cost reduction activities in order to improve profitability.
• Monitor and improve TCO of BOM, including inbound freight costs
• Monitor and provide information regarding the customer-controlled price and its cost reduction in order to ensure quoted price alignment and better BOM cost management. Managing LOA updates.
• Support updates of quotations and price trackers
• Participate in the management of Supplier PCNs, according to procedure

 End of Life / spare part management:

• Confirm availability of BOM and leadtimes
• Propose alternatives
• Prepare the DMC quotation
• Negotiation of component prices for small quantities and LTBs

Required personal and professional skills:

• Technical and/or Economic University degree;
• Professional experience in the field of foreign trade and logistics;
• Knowledge of materials used in electronics;
• Negotiation skills;
• Intermediate Business English according to the company policy standard;
• Second foreign language is considered an advantage;
• PC literacy – data base and Excel;
• Team player skills;
• Skills for using office equipment;
• Good communication skills; 
• Analytical thinking skills.
