The Accounts Receivable Specialist is responsible for managing and executing all aspects of the accounts receivable process. This role involves ensuring timely collection of payments, maintaining accurate records, and handling customer inquiries. The Accounts Receivable Specialist will work closely with the finance team and other departments to support financial operations and maintain strong customer relationships.​

Tasks & Responsibilities​

  • Generate and distribute invoices to customers accurately and on time.​
  • Ensure all invoices are compliant with company policies and procedures.​
  • Monitor accounts to identify outstanding debts and take necessary actions to ensure timely payment.​
  • Follow up on overdue invoices and resolve any discrepancies or issues.​
  • Coordinate with customers to establish payment arrangements if needed.​
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date customer account records.​
  • Reconcile customer accounts regularly to ensure accuracy.​
  • Handle customer inquiries related to billing and payments promptly and professionally.​
  • Prepare regular reports on the status of accounts receivable, including aging reports, cash flow projections, and collection status.​
  • Assist in the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements.​
  • Investigate and resolve any billing discrepancies or disputes.​
  • Work with internal teams to resolve issues that may affect payment collections.​
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant regulations, laws, and accounting standards.​
  • Continuously improve processes and procedures to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.​
  • Collaborate with the sales and customer service teams to resolve issues and improve customer satisfaction.​
  • Work with the finance team to ensure accurate financial reporting.​

Skills and Competences

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills;​
  • Knowledge of Excel is essential (knowledge of other MS Office applications is an advantage);​
  • Ability to handle all confidential information in a professional manner;​
  • Attention to detail and accuracy in data entry;​
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, both spoken and written;​
  • Knowledge of another foreign language is an advantage;​
  • Ability to work independently and in a team.​
