Junior Machine Learning Engineer

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Junior Machine Learning Engineer to join our growing team. As a Junior ML Engineer, you will work under the guidance of experienced engineers to develop, test, and implement machine learning models and algorithms.

What will you do?

• Develop and implement machine learning models: Design, train, and evaluate machine learning models and algorithms to solve complex problems and extract actionable insights from large datasets;
• Data preprocessing and feature engineering: Clean, transform, and preprocess raw data to ensure its suitability for training machine learning models. Perform feature engineering to enhance model performance and interpretability;
• Model evaluation and optimization: Conduct rigorous testing and evaluation of machine learning models to assess their performance, accuracy, and robustness. Optimize models to improve their efficiency, scalability and effectiveness;
• Collaborate with data scientists: Work closely with data scientists and domain experts to understand business requirements and translate them into machine learning solutions. Provide input and insights to drive the development of innovative data-driven strategies;
• Data exploration and visualization: Analyze and explore data to gain a deep understanding of patterns, trends, and relationships. Create visualizations and reports to communicate findings effectively to stakeholders;
• Model deployment and integration: Implement machine learning models into production systems and ensure seamless integration with existing software infrastructure. Collaborate with software engineers to design scalable and efficient deployment architectures;
• Maintain and update machine learning systems: Monitor the performance and stability of deployed machine learning models. Continuously update and improve models to adapt to evolving business needs and changing data landscapes;
• Stay up-to-date with advancements in machine learning: Keep abreast of the latest developments and techniques in machine learning and data science. Proactively identify opportunities to apply new methodologies and technologies to enhance existing models and systems.

What skills do you need?

• BSc degree or senior year students from Technical Faculty, preferably ETF, FON, RAF, FTN and Faculty of Mathematics;
• Strong programming skills in Python;
• Familiarity with machine learning libraries and frameworks (e.g., TensorFlow, PyTorch, scikit-learn);
• Solid understanding of machine learning algorithms, statistical modelling, and data mining techniques;
• Solid understanding of data preprocessing, feature engineering, and model evaluation;
• Understanding of software development principles and practices;
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a collaborative team environment;
• Eagerness to learn and stay updated with the latest developments in machine learning.
