At Microsoft Office team in Microsoft Development Center Serbia (MDCS), they have been at the forefront of bringing Microsoft Office AI-powered user experiences and services for more than 10 years. They have delivered many AI powered experiences across Word, PowerPoint, Excel, Sway, Office mobile app, and Office Lens, and we are now doubling down on Copilot in Word.

Responsibilities

• You will collaborate closely with the product team to research Microsoft Office user experiences, focusing primarily on Microsoft M365 Copilot. You will be guided and mentored throughout the process by experienced PM and User Research representatives.
• You will interview users throughout the product development lifecycle: to understand user needs and pain points, to test concepts and run usability studies, and to collect insights and feedback to improve products. You will identify the target audience, prepare screeners and questionnaires for the interviews.
• You will do research on the key product questions and convert latest market data and user signals into proposals
• You will regularly present and share your insights and findings with the broader product team.

Qualifications

• Education in the field of Product Development, Design, Human-Computer Interaction (HCI), Communications, or other related fields
• Prior experience in designing and conducting qualitative and quantitative research studies in an industry or academic setting.
• Data analysis and synthesis skills to derive actionable insights from research findings.
• Good written and verbal communication skills and the ability to communicate design presentations
• Good knowledge of English

Preferred qualifications

• Knowledge of various user research methodologies, such as interviews, surveys, usability testing, card sorting, and ethnographic research.
• Participation in design or engineering competitions (hackathon, design challenges)
• Excellent communication and writing skills

Type of engagement

This is an external staff job position. You will have a temporary employment contract with our company, in service of Microsoft Development Center Serbia.
