Supplier Quality Engineer

Job Description:

• Initiates and manages supplier quality complaints (SQA) caused by quality issues raised or detected by customers or found internally;
• Tracks and closes complaints after acceptance of 8D reports
• Acts as first level of escalation towards suppliers;
• Ensures development and implementation of quality management standards within their area of responsibility;
• Ensures application of Customer Requirements and compliance with IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 within their area of responsibility;
• Coordinates activities between departments and monitors results to achieve defined objectives;
• Decides on and oversees all necessary sorting activities before release to production (sorting, protection) to safeguard production processes and ensures appropriate monitoring of quality costs;
• Monitors implementation of changes related to suppliers and forwards supplier changes (PCN) to relevant teams;
• Plans, coordinates, initiates, and actively participates in supplier audits to ensure compliance with quality standards.
• Verifies that production components are approved (PSW/PPAP/ISIR/EMPB) before release to production;
• Provides technical support for resolving component-related issues;
• Provides input for evaluation of suppliers of production components;
• Authorized to stop production and/or delivery to reduce risk of non-conforming processes/products;
• Creates relevant procedures;
• Responsible for requesting, archiving, and approving PPAPs;
• Participates in internal and external audits;
• Advanced use of key automotive quality tools (FMEA, MSA, SPC, PPAP, APQP);

Your Profile:

• University degree in a technical field.
• 5 to 10 years of experience in the automotive industry.
• Strong knowledge of IATF 16949, AIAG, VDA 6.3, and VDA 6.5 standards, customer-specific requirements, drawings, key characteristics, quality tools, and analytical thinking.
• Experience in Quality Management System (QMS) implementation and document control processes.
• Confident and assertive with the ability to enforce effective measures.
• Quality-oriented mindset with attention to detail.
• Advanced English language skills.
• Certification in IATF 16949 and VDA 6.3 is highly desirable.
