A world renown Media business operating in Australia, the United States, United Kingdom and Serbia, which owns a portfolio of 17 websites collectively attracting 66M readers a month, is looking for a Weekend Codes Team Writer/Updater

Job Description

The Codes Team Writer works closely to identify new stories and write them in a timely manner and updates a number of stories on a recurring basis to maintain freshness and relevance. The Writer should maintain ongoing familiarity with Roblox and an understanding of other popular mobile and PC games that include code redemption systems, such as Fortnite, Genshin Impact, and Dead by Daylight.

Responsibilities:

• Update existing stories with the latest, tested codes.
• Collaborate with colleagues from other sites to refresh content and update lists.
• Identify new story opportunities through Google Trends, Roblox Discover, and other methods.
• Use Codes Team tools to help find update opportunities.
• Use WordPress on a regular basis to draft, edit, and publish stories and updates.

The Codes Team Writer will work directly with the Managing Editor and other in-house writers to meet output goals, increase update capacity, and expand the impact of codes across the network. The hired candidate will be provided with appropriate training on the expected format of code articles, SEO optimization, and GAMURS’ journalistic practices.

Qualities We're Looking For:

• Excellent proficiency in written and spoken English (with a higher emphasis on written English).
• Applicants are proficient with Google Trends.
• Monitoring social media to find the latest codes for our articles.
• Updating articles across many different sites to keep traffic flowing over the weekend.
• Experience with WordPress.
• Experience with Mobile and Roblox games.
• Experience with Word games.
