For our client—a highly reputable and successful company engaged in international business and operating within modern technologies and industries—we are seeking a finance professional to support their continued growth across the globe and play a key role focused on process improvement and controlling, starting in the position of: 

Business Controller

(Belgrade)

Job description:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets, quarterly forecasts, and long-term financial plans.
  • Conduct variance analysis between actual and forecasted results, identifying key trends and providing recommendations.
  • Monitor key performance indicators relevant to the commerce, such as revenue per employee, project profitability
  • Collaborate with commercial departments to align financial objectives with business goals.
  • Deliver support for decision-making by creating ad-hoc financial models, conducting scenario analyses, and offering strategic recommendations.
  • Oversee cost optimization initiatives, ensuring efficient resource allocation.
  • Support contract negotiations by providing financial input and risk assessments.
  • Prepare accurate and timely financial reports for internal and external stakeholders.
  • Ensure compliance with financial regulations, corporate policies, and industry standards.
  • Be a as business partner to leadership on financial implications of business strategies and investments.
  • Upgrade financial systems and processes to improve reporting accuracy and efficiency.
  • Implement data-driven tools for better tracking and forecasting.
  • Support the integration of financial data across ERP and IT systems.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field
  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in financial analysis, business controlling, or similar 
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel 
  • Experience with ERP systems (SAP, Navision, Pantheon, etc.)
  • Knowledge of the automotive, pharmaceutical or FMCG production industry is an advantage.

  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to work effectively across departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage competing priorities.
