Job description:
- Ensure accuracy and compliance in all transactions including incoming/outgoing invoices, prepayments, compensations and customs-related documentation.
Handle the posting of accruals, ensuring proper recognition of expenses and liabilities. - Post approved transactions, including invoices, accruals, prepayments, compensations, and customs documentation, maintaining accurate general ledger records.
- Manage vendor accounts by reconciling statements, addressing inquiries, and ensuring timely invoice processing.
- Support VAT calculations and ensure proper recognition of tax obligations.
- Process employee expense claims made via business cards, ensuring proper documentation and booking.
- Prepare and execute payment orders for domestic and international suppliers; manage treasury operations to ensure timely and accurate payments.
- Monitor, reconcile, and accurately record cash balances, manage foreign exchange inflows, and maintain effective communication with banking partners to ensure liquidity and operational efficiency.
- Coordinate with domestic and international suppliers and address any issues or concerns related to financial transactions.
- Maintain and update master financial data, ensuring consistency and accuracy across systems.
- Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closings, as well as internal and external audits.
- Collaborate with departments such as Sales, Customer Service, and Marketing to provide accurate financial insights and support decision-making.
- Reporting directly to the Finance Manager - Serbia & Montenegro.
- Perform other accounting-related duties as required.
Requirements:
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
- 3+ years of experience in accounting or a similar role.
- Understanding of accounting principles, standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Fluency in English is mandatory.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (experience with Navision is an advantage).
- Strong command of MS Office tools, with advanced Excel skills.
