Due to the successful implementation of the project “Support to the development of Public Internal Financial Control – Phase 3” in Republic of Serbia, funded by EU, the Conzortium of SAFEGE and WYGI is currently looking for the position:
Junior expert - Internal Audit support
The expert’s performance framework will be focused on:
- Support to Team Leader and Key Expert in developing and delivering various trainings,
- Practical implementation of FMC procedures, and
- Pilot internal audits.
- These activities could be revised during the course of the mission, in line with Beneficiary’s requirements.
- The expert would preferable be willing to provide inputs around activities during the 18 month period, to provide all 300 working days.
- Expert profile
Qualification and skills:
- University degree (minimum B.Sc.) in Public Finance, Economics, Public Administration, Accounting or equivalent professional qualification (preference for Certified Internal Auditor or Certified Government Audit Professional),
- Knowledge of statistics,
- Fluent in English and Serbian, both in spoken and written,
- Familiar with financial management software,
- Knowledge of International Statements of Auditing, IIA standards, GAAS, preferably Generally Accepted Government Auditing Standards,
- Knowledge of risk assessment and management,
- Computer literate (MS Office applications, e-mail, internet)
- Developed analytical skills,
- Organised and effective time management skills, respect for deadlines and sense of humour,
- Excellent communication, drafting and reporting skills (oral and written).
General professional experience:
- Minimum 3 years of proven successful experience in financial management (preferable in public sector) with proven experience in risk assessment.
- Specific experience:
- Experience as internal or external auditor will be considered as an asset (preferable in public sector),
- Experience in dealing with senior government officials and ability to build consensus at all levels,
- Experience in institutional capacity building,
- Experience in international projects.
