Duties:
- SAP Systems Migration projects (migration to another OS, DB, data center etc.)
Key Skills:
- Must have strong Basis experience (low level technical activities like installation, copying, migrations, configuration and tweaking performance);
- Must have strong HANA experience (certification, performance and tuning, migrations, backup and recovery, DR setup, HANA studio and HANA cockpit);
- Should have knowledge of additional databases, at least one (Oracle, Sybase, MS-SQL, DB2);
- Should have working knowledge of OS administration for SAP purposes (Windows and/or Linux).
Mandatory Skills:
- SAP migrations projects experience using SAP tools SWPM and different methods of migrations
- Strong SAP Basis foundation
- Windows Server working knowledge for SAP installations and Migrations
- UNIX OS working knowledge for SAP installations and Migrations
- Any Two Database working knowledge (Oracle/MS-SQL/DB2/Sybase/SAP HANA)
- Certification on HANA database
- Performance and Tuning on HANA database
- Backup and Recovery for HANA database
- HSR for HANA database
- HANA database upgrade and update
- DR setup with HANA
- Working on HANA database in a clustered and high availability environment
- Migrating HANA database on different hardware platforms
- HANA studio and HANA cockpit knowledge
- SAP Migration methodologies knowledge
- SAP product installations using the latest SAP tools
- Various SAP Migration tools and techniques used during SAP migrations
- Experience of SAP migrations in heterogeneous and homogeneous environment
- Ability to work independently on SAP migrations
- Strong technical analysis and requirements gathering skills
- Understanding of SAP
Desired Skills:
- SAP HANA migrations experience
- System Administrator-level working knowledge/experience with at least two of the following: Linux, Solaris, AIX, HP-UX, or Windows
- Good skills to analyze and troubleshoot SAP systems performance issues during migrations and in case of performance issues
- Ability to work in a multi-cultural environment
- Strong verbal, written, organizational and technical documentation skills
- Ability to provide accurate and realistic effort estimates, commit and deliver accordingly
- Proven analytical and problem-solving skills; creative thinking.
