Our client is a renown international company with the business in the automotive industry area. Due to business start up activities in the plant , we are searching for a proactive, highly motivated and responsible person, for the position:

Chief Accountant

This person would be responsible for managing the accounting department, applying accounting principles, reporting to financial institutions and head quarter abroad, ensuring appropriate accounting control procedures compliant with law.

Job description:

• Leads and coordinates work of accountants
• Classifies investments in accordance with the Law on Income Tax
• Keeps the inventory of cards fixed assets (HIM)
• Maintain lists of investments according to the general ledger accounts
• Prepares monthly depreciation of retail assets (DHIM)
• Processes VAT, road tax and property tax
• Stock-taking of the balances of all balance sheet accounts ledger
• Checks the entries in the ledger accounts of outcome
• Monitors the tax and accounting laws and regulations and their amendments, and is reflected in the financial cooperation
• Coordinating the work in the accounting department in terms of volume of work and processing deadlines
• Addresses the correlation with the financial accounts
• Draw up a balance sheet and income statement
• Proposes a procedure for improving circulation and data content to the needs of the financial unit
• Cooperate in creating and maintaining a chart of the company
• Collaborate in the preparation of audit profit
• Keeps cash books in foreign currency and accounts cash evidence
• Caters to cash in foreign currency issues
• Performs other work as directed by senior

Requirements:

• University degree major in economics – accounting, business administration or similar
• At least 5 years of relevant accounting experience
• Knowledge of accounting law and procedures, IAS, tax law, customs regulations
• Experienced in balance sheet and income statements and yearly closing books in foreign and local currency
• Experience with monitoring costs and analytical accounting, processing operational data of the plant and inventory management
• Methodical and organized person
• Strong communication skills
• Computer literacy - excellent knowledge of MS-Office (Excel, Word, Outlook)
• Navision (is preferable but not a must), Knowledge of Cognos is a plus
• Fluency in English (written and spoken)
• Valid driving licence (B)
