Junior Journalist - Video News Channel

ENF Solar is a leading platform in the solar energy industry, operating for 19 years with over 5 million users annually. We are launching a new video news channel to provide high-quality content to support and inform the solar industry. This is an exciting opportunity to be part of a pioneering project that will be published on our platform, newsletters, YouTube, and social media.

We are seeking a talented Junior Journalist to join our team. The successful candidate will be instrumental in the ongoing success of our video news channel. You will work closely with our existing team, including design and video editing staff, to create compelling and informative video content.

Key Responsibilities:

• Concept Development: Generate and develop innovative ideas for video content that aligns with the objectives of our video news channel.
• Research & Angle Formation: Conduct thorough research and fact-checking to ensure the accuracy and credibility of the content. Identify unique and engaging angles for stories that will captivate and inform our audience.
• Scripting: Write clear, concise, and engaging scripts that convey complex information in an accessible manner.
  Interviewing: Conduct technical interviews with industry experts and stakeholders, bringing insightful and relevant perspectives to our audience.
• Edit Decision List (EDL): Plan and structure content to streamline the post-production process, ensuring a smooth transition from pre-production to final edit.
• Presentation skill is a plus: Serve as the on-screen presenter/anchor, delivering content with clarity and confidence.

Qualifications:

• Must be fluent in spoken and written English;
• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Journalism, Communications, Science, Engineering or a related field.
• 1-3 years proven experience in journalism, a focus on the energy or technical industries is a plus.
• Strong technical background or competent in learning technical knowledge, able to communicate complex technical information clearly and accurately.
• Strong editorial skills, including concept development, research, scripting, and exposure to post-production pipeline.
• Previous experience as a presenter or anchor is a plus.
• A personal computer (with an HD camera) and a good internet connection are required.

Compensation and Benefits:

• Monthly Gross Salary: 800 – 1200 EUR.
• Remote Work: Full-time remote position with flexible working arrangements.
• Working Hours: 5 working days, 38 hours per week (7.6 hours per day), following a Monday-to-Friday schedule.
