We are looking for:

ASSISTANT ACCOUNTANT


Position Summary:

An International European company established in Serbia is seeking to recruit an Assistant Accountant to fill up the entitled position in its Belgrade office. The company is active in public construction projects in Serbia.


Position Responsibilities:

  • Maintenance of the financial records in a timely and accurate manner ensuring integrity and compliance with company’s accounting policies and the law.
  • Preparation of VAT declaration.
  • Preparation of the payroll.
  • Reconciliation of company’s accounts (debtors, creditors, bank accounts)
  • Support to the whole accounting function
  • Active participation in the monthly closing of financial statements and reports.
  • Collaborate with auditors (internal & external) and assist them in their requirements.


Basic Requirements:

  • University Degree in Accounting
  • 2-3 years of professional experience in accounting preferably with an auditing firm or having work in the accounting department of a multinational company.
  • Excellent knowledge of the English language, knowledge of the Greek language would be ideal.
  • Good accounting and information system skills. Experience in S.A.P. program is highly desired.
  • Good knowledge of Serbian Tax legislation.
