Software Engineer

As a solution provider, our engineers designed one of the first explosion-proof liquid and gas flow computers to be placed on the meter run rather than the control room. These meter mounted flow computers not only reduced the wiring costs dramatically; they also provided more accurate data and saved the field operators’ time and effort in the calibration and maintenance.

Job description:

• Modify existing software to correct errors, allow it to adapt to new hardware or to improve its performance
• Coordinate software system installation and monitor equipment functioning to ensure specifications are met
• Code, test and troubleshoot programs utilizing the appropriate hardware, database and programming technology
• Refine data and format final product
• Maintain and modify programs; make approved changes by amending flow charts, develop detailed programming logic and coding changes
• Test and develop programming modifications
• Evaluate simple interrelationships between programs such as whether a contemplated change in one part of a program would cause unwanted results in a related part
• Analyze performance of programs and take action to correct deficiencies based on consultation with users and approval of supervisor
• Resolve questions of program intent, data input, output requirements, and inclusion of internal checks and controls
• Document programming problems and resolutions for future reference
• Assist personnel of other departments as a computer resource
• Conduct trial runs of programs and software applications to be sure they will produce desired information and that the instructions are correct
• Compile and write documentation of program development and subsequent revisions, inserting comments in the coded instructions so others can understand the program
• Write, update, and maintain computer programs responsible for calculations, storing or retrieving data or controlling other equipment
• Write or contribute to instructions or manuals to guide end users
• Prepare detailed workflow charts and diagrams that describe input, output and logical operation

Your qualifications:

• Minimum 3 years professional experience in software development, using PL C++, C#
• Electronics or Electrical Engineer (or equivalent education)
• Very good understanding of Communication Protocols and Software to Hardware communication
• Ability to cope with large and demanding projects
• Very good knowledge of English language
