Job Description

Power engineer typically performs following activities:

• Understands utility’s requirement and map them to the product
• Understands nature of power system as well as it’s structure and installed equipment features
• Understands algorithms of power applications
• Understands business processes and safety rules of distribution companies world wide
• Understands full concept of management in distribution systems
• Designs new algorithm based on utility’s requirement
• Modifies existing algorithm of power applications in order to cover individual utility requirements
• Develops new power applications as well as customizations of existing power applications

Position Requirements:

The candidate hired for this position should have the following skills/experience:

• B.Sc./M.Sc. in power engineering, department for power systems
• Basic knowledge about power system analysis, load flow calculation and short circuit calculation
• Basic knowledge about equipment of power system as well as purpose of those equipment
• Experience in Fortran /C++ programing language
• Experience in work tightly connected with power system especially distribution system
• Good verbal and communication skills in English
• Willingness to constantly learn and improve oneself
• Previous software development experience and understanding of the development process is advantage
