Key Responsibilities:
- Show initiative in defining a need for the business, sourcing, quoting and leading negotiations in line with company demand
- Be able to influence decision making with both internal and external stakeholders
- Be the point of contact between suppliers and internal customers
- Working closely with internal stakeholders and the Purchasing Manager to understand the business requirements and help to translate into a sourcing strategy
- Lead the sourcing of fabricated and CNC components to both UK and LCC suppliers
- Resolving urgent component shortages
- Running MRP on a regular and timely basis
- Negotiating with suppliers to achieve cost reduction targets
- Resolving all invoice queries
- Ensuring all part records are kept up to date with latest prices / volume discounts etc
- Resolving any delivery discrepancies promptly and working with suppliers to minimise future discrepancies
- Dealing with any other ad-hoc enquiries as the role requires
- Adherence at all times to the published Company Procedures
- To understand and comply with the Company`s Quality Statement
- To meet deadlines as required
- Maintain the Company Image whilst representing the Company
- Maintain a safe working environment for yourself and others at all times
Job Requirements:
- Completed commercial or technical training (associate degree)
- At least 3 years of professional experience in purchasing
- Good written and spoken English skills, business fluent
- Good user knwoledge of MS Office products
- Confident and professional manner
