Customer Sales Assistant

We’re looking for a Customer Sales Assistant to join our growing team and support both our customers and carriers in day-to-day operations, all from the comfort of your home.

Job location: Remote

Shift: 2nd shift

Key Responsibilities:

• Build and manage load tenders (freight shipment requests) for customers and carriers
• Use customer portals to request and schedule delivery dates/times
• Update shipment details in TMW (Transportation Management System) as confirmations are received via email
• Assist with EDI (Electronic Data Interchange) processing through Kleinschmidt (typically once per week)
• Maintain and update detention spreadsheets for key accounts (e.g., Target)
• Communicate with carriers and customers to confirm scheduling, resolve minor issues, and ensure accurate documentation
• Support the sales team with rate requests, quotes, and customer follow-ups
• Prepare and organize reports, spreadsheets, and documentation for management review
• Handle general office tasks: answering phones, responding to emails, and filing digital records
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure smooth delivery operations and high customer satisfaction
• Learn and assist with freight tracking, billing support, and data entry as needed

Qualifications:

• Strong attention to detail with the ability to multitask effectively
• Excellent communication and organizational skills
• Comfortable using email, spreadsheets, and online portals (training provided)
• Prior logistics or customer service experience is helpful but not required
