Head of Container Terminal

Primary Purpose of the Job:

Organize, monitor, and control all operations at the container terminal in accordance with prescribed technological procedures, occupational safety regulations, fire protection rules, and internal procedures, ensuring timely and safe receipt, storage, and dispatch of containers and semi-trailers.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Work Organization:
• Organize and coordinate work resources and personnel to carry out terminal operations according to prescribed technologies.
• Responsible for proper work process organization and timely execution of cargo handling operations.

2. Documentation Control:
• Control accompanying documentation: waybills, specifications, delivery notes, dispatch notes, carnets, ship manifests, and cargo placement orders.
• Process documentation related to damages and delays.
• Prepare reports to protect the interests of clients and the employer.
3. Cargo and Container Handling:
• Responsible for proper receipt, storage, transfer, and dispatch of containers and semi-trailers.
• Ensure correct handling of full and empty containers (20’ and 40’) and semi-trailers during loading/unloading to/from railcars, trucks, vessels, and the terminal.
• Responsible for stacking, rearranging, and repairing defective containers and semi-trailers on the terminal.
4. Finance & Commercial Performance:
   • Control OPEX and manage CAPEX planning for equipment and infrastructure.
   • Support commercial teams in customer engagement, contract negotiations, and service development.
5. Compliance with Regulations and Standards:
• Required to be familiar with and apply occupational safety, fire protection, and first aid procedures.
• Monitor the implementation of technological procedures and compliance with occupational safety and fire protection regulations.
• Ensure proper use of PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) during all work tasks and operations.
6. Accountability:
• Responsible for their work to the COO.

Requirements:

• Higher education, level VI, in a technical field.
• Knowledge of the English language.
• Proficiency in computer use.
• At least 5 years of previous work experience in similar positions.
