Software Engineer

We are seeking an experienced, Senior, Software Engineer who will work on Integrator, a Total Materia’s enterprise materials management platform. The role focuses on maintaining and evolving an existing production system while delivering new features across the full technology stack. In this role you will contribute equally to backend and frontend development and support deployments in cloud, on-premises, and hybrid environments. This is an internal engineering role with no direct customer-facing responsibilities.

Key Responsibilities: 

• Maintain, refactor, and enhance the existing Integrator codebase
• Design and implement new product features across backend and frontend layers 
• Develop backend services using .NET Core 
• Develop and maintain frontend functionality using Angular
• Design, optimize, and maintain MS SQL Server schemas, queries, and stored procedures 
• Ensure code quality through reviews, testing, and adherence to engineering standards 
• Troubleshoot and resolve defects and performance issues in production and non-production environments 
• Collaborate with other engineers, QA, and product stakeholders throughout the development lifecycle 
• Support deployment, configuration, and troubleshooting for cloud, on-premise, and hybrid installations 
• Contribute to technical documentation and long-term maintainability of the platform

What are we looking for?

• At least 7 years of hands-on professional software engineering experience
• Strong experience with .NET Core for backend development
• Strong experience with Angular for frontend development 
• Solid knowledge of MS SQL Server, including database design and performance optimization 
• Proficiency with Git and standard branching and code review workflows 
• Experience working on complex, enterprise-scale applications 
• Strong understanding of software architecture, design patterns, and best practices 
• Ability to work effectively with large existing codebases
• Strong debugging, problem-solving, and analytical skills.  

Preferred Bonus Skills 

• Experience with Microsoft Azure (app hosting, infrastructure, or services)
• Experience with monitoring and observability tools such as Datadog 
• Strong scripting skills (e.g., PowerShell, Bash) to support on-premises installations and automation
• Advanced SQL skills, including query tuning and troubleshooting
• Experience configuring and supporting IIS-hosted applications
• Familiarity with hybrid cloud and on-premises enterprise deployment models.
