MAIN REQUIREMENTS:

• University degree in telecommunications or computer engineering
• Deep knowledge and hands-on experience in various transport network technologies
• Minimum 4 years of experience in transport NW operation, implementation or planning area
• Fluent in English (both written and verbal)
• Team player, able to work independently
• Able to handle workload and give good performance even in stressful environment

Role overview:

• Executing back-office tasks aiming continuous operation, maintenance and quality in domain of Access and Optical Transport Network:
  • MPLS routers in access and aggregation plane (PE routers)
  • DWDM optical systems in Core, Aggregation and Metro plane
  • Microwave access/backbone links providing carrier ethernet services
  • Access network for fixed services (MSAN, xDSL, xPON, MW)
  • SDH optical multiplexers
  • Related Network Management Systems (covering fault, configuration, performance and inventory management)
• Maintain availability of transport network elements and relevant services
• Incident and problem handling
• Customer complaint handling
• Resource provisioning including acceptance tests
• Service provisioning including acceptance tests
• Planned work execution and coordination
• Plan, execute and coordinate preventive and corrective maintenance activities
• Planning and execution of testing and upgrade of new HW/SW releases or functionalities
• Responsible for continuous improvement of transport NW quality
• Participate in development of processes and procedures related to the area
• Responsible for transport performance monitoring, analysis and reporting
• Managing vendors and controlling their performance
• Data administration in relevant transport documentation and inventory systems
• Participate in On-call service
