Accounting Associate

We are looking for talented, detailed, meticulous individuals who are looking to grow in the field of accounting, tax preparation and finance while working for the US based company affiliated with Serbia.

This is a unique opportunity to support a growing financial team at a lean and high performing organization.

SPECIFIC SKILLS

If an individual:

• Numbers Skills. You need to be comfortable with the numbers in any sense, basic math skills and calculation
• Experience in Accounting, day to day finance for at least 3 years, longer preferable
• Experience in Quickbooks welcome but not necessary, as long as readiness to learn
• Experience in taxation system in the US welcome but not necessary, as long as readiness to learn
• Dedication to work in Accounting and Finance as a career
• Ambition to work with a foreign company full-time, learn about new accounting systems, new tax systems
• Ambition to work with one company and business for at least next 3 years
• Readiness to adapt and work flexible time hours and in different time-zones, potentially evening hours
• Good English verbal and written communications skills

If a company:

• Rich experience in accounting
• Readiness to manage the team that would primarily work for this company and as a client or at least treat the company as one of the major clients
• Experienced and reliable team of accountants among which most of them meet the criteria for the individual engagement above

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Developing, implementing, and maintaining efficient finance systems
• Performing various financial and accounting tasks
• Executing the necessary bookkeeping tasks, such as data entry, as well as preparing accounting reports 
• Collating monetary data and maintaining accounting journals
• Preparing invoices, statements of accounts, etc

REQUIREMENTS

• Due to time difference, ability to work in split shifts - during the day, afternoon or evening depending on team configuration, work would be performed in the afternoon starting at 5.00 PM CEST Belgrade
• Good English language is a must
• Proficient user of Google Drive and Microsoft Office
