Business Development Manager OTC
Job summary:
Main role of the Business Development Manager OTC is to define and implement the right marketing and sales strategy for the Consumer HealthCare product portfolio (including new launches) in cooperation with the Local and Regional Management on a sound understanding of the market drivers and the anticipation of major changes in the market.
Requirements:
- Successfully completed professional education at the university level of professional qualifications in pharmaceutical, medical science or equivalent or university level in economy
- Minimum 3 years of experience in pharmaceutical field of business on similar jobs and related jobs to business developing of new products on the market (preferably OTC and/or relevant FMCG marketing or sales function)
- Competency using Call Reporting Software preferred
- Knowledge how to build and execute a business plan
- Fluent proficiency in English
Main responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive business plans, identifying where and how the resources can be best allocated to maximize profitability
- Assure the accomplishment of sales, promotion and contribution plans taking any necessary action to fulfill agreed and defined goals and financial plans
- Identify growth opportunities within the OTC product portfolio and define together with the Local and Regional Management new product launches in synergy with the business and supported by studies related to marketing, sales, economic and financial issues
- Stay permanently aware of the development of the local OTC market, paying special attention to the market segments in which the company is present and - when necessary - propose development and/or contingency strategies by product and/or customer
- Define, coordinate and put into practice all necessary strategies, policies, guidelines, and actions related to products, prices, distribution and promotion
- Drive market share for designated brands/products through communication and branding activities
- Monitor the results of the business performance and apply corrective action when needed
- Represent the company perspective by attending local and international and company meetings
