WE ARE LOOKING FOR

Adhesive Specialist responsible for preparation/ rework for subsequent painting or bonding processes and perform bonding tasks on engine components according to specified manufacturers and MTU-specific instructions.

TASKS

Perform bonding tasks on engine components in according to current instructions

• Performing epoxy resin repairs
• Performing silicon adhesive repairs
• Set up the equipment (e.g. pump, mixer, stove…) for the task
• Adjusting required parameters (e.g. mix ratio, cantime,…)
• Process controlling
• Generate material samples

Preparation and rework on engine components in according to current instructions

• Masking and unmasking parts for the subsequent painting or glueing process
• Prepare the surface for the subsequent painting or glueing process (cleaning, blasting)
• Performing manual operations (e.g. handheld grinding, polishing, …)
• Prepare all necessary work documents
• Support or perform by testing new processes
• Carry out simple heat treatments

Checking of work pieces

• Visual inspection of repaired areas
• Execute simple tests (e.g. coat thickness measuring, adhesion test, complete curing test, …) which includes measuring parts with standard measuring equipment.
• Documentation on the shop floor level

Controlling and monitoring of organizational processes

• Comply with KPIs according to organizational targets
• Comply with dates and ensure capacities
• Contact person on the shop floor for internal quality issues

Elimination of disorders

• Analyze causes for disorders and solve them (e.g. change of equipment)
• Entry-into-service of machines after disorders (like calibration of meas-urement equipment)
• Communicate disorder description to maintenance staff
• Define rework together with the relevant department
• Document rework and scrap

Execution of assigned maintenance tasks on machinery and equipment

• Monitoring of maintenance interval
• Perform maintenance and cleaning tasks within acceptable limits
• Document maintenances times, causes and their corrective action

REQUIREMENTS

• Completed training in a metal profession desired
• Completed training as adhesive specialist desired
• Several years of experi-ence in a metal profession
• Experience in aviation or automotive industry desired
• PC Knowledge
• MS Office, SAP desired
• High technical affinity, mastery of standard measuring equipment
• Knowledge of engine technology desired
• Teamwork, flexibility, willingness to work 2-shift
• Experience as team leader (work, sports) desired
• English and/or German skills – understanding reading desired
