Position Description:
- Work from drawings, blueprints, work orders and verbal instructions
- Assemble and fit a variety of measuring instruments using a substantial number of components, working to close tolerances
- Insure that all processing and completed assemblies meet specified quality standards
- Obtain parts and materials from the stock room
- Equipment includes hand tools and power tools such as a torque wrench, press, screwdrivers, ohms meter, drilling machines and holding fixtures
- Versatility required to performing bench type operations such as gluing, soldering and ultrasonic cleaning
- Verify dimensions and clearances of parts to ensure conformance to blueprint specifications, using instruments, such as micrometers and calipers
- Prepare finished work for shipment or storage as instructed or required
- Use computer to set up the software for the units
- Permanent monitoring of the quality of the components used, as well as calibration and final inspection of the finished products
- Maintain quality standards as established by company
- Follow standard practices and procedures as outlined by policy
- Report defective materials or process problems to supervisor
- Obey all safety procedures
- Maintain area in a clean and orderly condition
- Perform all other duties as directed or required
Position Requirements:
- Vocational training as an electronics technician or electrical mechanic; one to three years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Must have reasonable dexterity in hands to manipulate small parts
- Computer experience required
- Basic Command of English
