JOB DESCRIPTION
As a Software Engineer, you will be a part of the team developing Remote Vehicle Data platform. The platform connects our hardware devices plugged into the vehicles to our cloud-based Backend system. The project enables large vehicle fleets to retrieve diagnostics and positions of the vehicles with many added features.
As a part of our software development team, you will be working at the enhancements and maintenance of our cloud-based Backend system. The Backend consists of microservices running on AWS and is used by several front-end portals.
You will collaborate with a diverse international team of experts and have an opportunity to work on multidisciplinary projects related to advanced vehicle diagnostics. The projects cover multiple disciplines and technologies, including cloud-based services, desktop & mobile apps, embedded software and firmware.
DAY TO DAY ACTIVITIES
- Development of microservice based Backend system, using Typescript and Java, in an AWS-based solution
- Development of robust, scalable, secure enterprise cloud environments, infrastructure and platforms
- Evaluate current technical solutions and propose improvements
- Analyze eventual issues and derive corrective actions
- Take full ownership and responsibility for the code you create
- Cooperate with an international development team and customers
- Periodical on-call shifts, performing basic dev-ops tasks to ensure high availability of the service
QUALIFICATIONS
- University degree in Computer Science or Engineering
- Software development experience using Java, Typescript, or related technologies
- Excellent knowledge of object-oriented programming and design
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Fluent in English
WOULD BE A PLUS
- Experience using AWS Services, Azure services or any other major cloud provider's services
- Experience with continuous integration and continuous delivery process
- Experience working in agile teams
- Experience building complex software systems that have been successfully delivered to customers
- Knowledge of professional software engineering practices & best practices for the entire software development life cycle, including coding standards, code reviews, source control management, build processes, testing, and operations
