- Monitors casino floor operation
- Circulates among gaming tables to observe operations and security to ensure harmony and courtesy Observes casino staff, in the operation of casino games to ensure guests receive prompt and courteous service and correct procedures are maintained
- Identifies rule violations, or notes potential security problems
- Ensure all casino games proceed smoothly and properly according to Casino Operations policies
- Maintains a proactive approach to prevent or solve problems and disputes
- Informs casino management and staff of disruptive players or observer and potential security problems
- Explains and clarifies house rules to guests requesting information
- Opens or closes tables according to business demand; makes decisions regarding table limits according to appropriate guidelines
- Trains and monitors Casino employees for proper
- Participates in casino table counts, reports or paperwork as scheduled by Casino Manager.
- Deal cards to patrons during games
- Deal appropriate number of cards out to players.
- Compare players' hands with the house and determine winner
- Announce winner and begin new game
- Exchange money for chips to be used in games
- Inspect cards to ensure compliance with gaming standards
- Inspect gaming equipment
- Receive cash wagers
- Compute players' winnings and losses
- Answer questions about game rules and variations
- Notify Pit Supervisor of any irregularities.
- Resolve disputes or arguments by conferring with Pit Supervisor
- Entice players to sit at table and play
- Assist in training new dealers
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- English and at least another language
- Minimum 3 years experience
- Superior customer service and communication skills
- Ability to make decisions based on sound judgment regarding gaming rules and regulations, observe and recognize payout accuracy, dealer behaviour and associated activities
- Ability to supervise an international team of Dealers in a positive and productive manner by motivating, developing and managing employees as they work
