Civil / Structural Engineer

Reinforced Earth through its affiliation with Freyssinet Srbija is looking for civil/structural design engineers. Reinforced Earth is a global leader in the field of Mechanically Stabilised Earth walls and buried reinforced concrete pre-cast structures. The role will be performed from the office in Novi Sad. Candidates having previous experience in highways design will be having an advantage.

We’re having an opening for the position of: Civil / Structural Engineer

Duties:

• Prepares structural calculations and details of structural elements interacting with soils, such as culverts, retaining walls, MSE Walls, spread foundations etc...
• Analyzes structures using various structural engineering software programs.
• Works with CAD Technicians to produce relevant structural information.
• Participates in construction support activities including responses to requests for information (RFIs), submittal reviews and design revisions/management of change.
• Takes responsibility for engineering tasks and performs associated calculations reports and analyses.
• Compiles data and performs dimensional and routine calculations required for the preparation of drawings.
• Complete any technical assignments as directed by the engineering manager.

Requirements:

• Good command of the English language, both written and oral, is a must.
• As a minimum Master of Science or ‘dipl. ing.’ equivalent is required (5 year’s tertiary education).
• Ability to independently run FEM analysis in popular software packages (please indicate in your application/resume which software you are using)
• Good command of AutoCAD.
• Proficient use of MS Office tools (Word, Excel, etc.) is required.
• Experience in AutoCAD Civil3D would be seen as an asset.
• Any previous experience with design codes such as AASHTO LRFD, ACI or British Standard would be seen as an advantage.
• Ability to work as part of a team.
• Good planning skills; has the ability to multitask.
