Commodity Buyer for Mechatronic Parts

Responsibilities:

• Engage with internal stakeholders from different regions to capture assigned commodity requirements
• Develop and execute the assigned commodity strategy that lead to lowest total cost in terms of piece price, quality, delivery and service; have a good healthy supplier panel; ensuring the future needs in terms of new technologies and supplier base optimization are identified and executed 
• Lead the development and execution of annual commodity productivity strategies; utilizing applicable tools such as supplier negotiation, market testing, cost breakdown analysis, on site cost audit, resourcing and VAVE/PCO
• Need to work with supplier for price negotiation, supplier general agreements, raw material and currency indexation agreements.
• Support capacity issue by working closely with supply chain and suppliers
• Lead the advance sourcing process; identify potential suppliers globally, evaluate and approve them following the New Supplier Introduction process

Requirements: 

• Min. 4 yrs Bachelor Degree in Engineering, Business, Purchasing, Supply Chain or related discipline
• 6 to 8 yrs experience in Commodity management, Strategic sourcing-Experience with Mechatronic or Small parts (Fastener/Rubber/Plastics) are preferred-Demonstrate competence in negotiating and analytical skills; good at contract administration
• Demonstrated ability to manage/lead multiple projects and changing priorities-Fluent and professional communication in English; Skilled in Microsoft Office
• Willing to stretch and work with different time zone
• Ability to travel up to 20%
