What are we looking for?
- - A passion for data interpretation and a highly numerate capability with great attention to numeric detail and accuracy
- - An ability to research and source information from a multitude of areas.
- - Strong analytical skills with the ability to collect, organize, analyze, and disseminate significant amounts of information with attention to detail and accuracy
- - Knowledge of statistics and experience undertaking statistical analysis is desired
- - Good analytical skills, detail oriented, strong technical skill and willingness to learn
- Technical skills:
Required: - - SQL (and sql-like languages: Hive, Impala,...)
- - ETL tooling/concepts
- - Unix/linux and shell scripting (with sed, awk,...)
Nice to have: - - Python and/or Java
- - familiar with big data technology stack (Hadoop, Spark, Kafka)
- - cloud technologies (AWS, GC, Azure)
Duties and Responsibilities
- To provide development support, including continual data analysis, checking quality and looking for continuous improvement to our data solutions.
- Research and validation of entity data using appropriate internal and external data sources
- Trend Analysis, specification, testing and implementation of interfaces, workflow solutions, and reference data solutions
- Developing and implementing data analyses and data collection systems
- Identify, analyze, and interpret trends or patterns in the data
