SW Design Engineer – Embedded Linux (SWLDE)

Needed experience: 1 year or more

Technical qualifications:

• C/C++ Coding expertise under Linux environment
• Eclipse or another IDE advanced expertise
• Linux Bash or another shell scripting basics
• Experience in work in cross-compiler environments
• Linux driver development understanding
• Version control development experience
• Experience in booting embedded Linux devices
• Knowledge of ARM based microprocessor architectures running Linux is a plus
• Experience with TI Sitara, Atmel SAMA5, Freescale i.mx6 or Xilinx ZYNQ is a plus
• Familiarity with Real Time patches is a plus as well as any engagement within the community

Job Description:

• Able to develop a Linux application for an embedded device start to end with minor or no assistance
• Capable to structure the application and prepare it for testing in order to satisfy the requirements
• Participate in requirements definition where appropriate
• Integration with other system components
• Capable to debug, trace and eliminate potential misbehaviours
• Working in a smaller or larger team, understanding concerns and requirements of other team members and incorporating them in the development
• Showing initiative and suggesting solutions, able to add a twist where needed to deliver a better overall result
• Fluent in English and fully able to document all aspects of work
• Capable of communicating directly with stakeholders if necessary
