The DevOps engineer is responsible for assisting product development teams in support the end-to-end provisioning process of infrastructure in cloud environments and facilitating automation wherever possible. Part of the DevOps engineer job is to ensure the orchestration/automation layer automatically adds, modifies, or removes any service in a standard and controlled manner based on defined application policies and new services / components are automatically built as planned based on usage patterns. Ideally the candidate should have experience within a wide variety of Cloud Services and process automation technologies. This is a full-time work from home position working for a US based client.

You would have the following responsibilities:
- Responsible for implementation and management of all infrastructure solutions
- Manage and maintain software defined infrastructure environment
- Create and develop configuration and build scripts for all environments
- Monitor events that occur and detect and escalate exception conditions during CI and CD processes
- Build and operationally manage all services, including the orchestration/automation layer
- Maintain operational stability; enforce security measures, testing, development and deployment of new Infrastructure
- Refine automated provisioning through analysis of application patterns/workflow
You would be expected to have some of the following skills:
- Experience in working with one of the leading Cloud Platforms, specifically Microsoft Azure, AWS, and/or Google Cloud
- Technical expertise in networking and cloud deployments
- Experience managing Linux/Unix OS environments, as well as Windows
- Ability to develop, maintain, and update Bash and/or PowerShell scripts
- Understanding and experience of working with Agile
- Experience using and configuring DevOps tools and CI/CD Build and Release Processes
- Experience with infrastructure provisioning and automation as well as tools like Ansible, Chef, or Puppet
- Experience in a software defined infrastructure (SDI, SDDC, SDN) environment, preferably architecting IaaS, SaaS, PaaS offerings
- Capable of quickly learning new technologies and procedures
