Facade Engineer

Role Summary:

The Facade Engineer is responsible for providing co-ordination and operational support to a contact facade and glazed windows packages of construction project, and by liaising with the Engineer(s), Project Managers ensure Facade Inspections are carried out and internal and external information flow is apparent in order to meet the construction program requirements.

Key Responsibilities:

• Coordination with Commercial Department on variation and claim
• Communicate relevant project information as appropriate to consultants, authorities, sub-contractors and project staff
• Together with the Site Supervisor, liaise with construction staff and sub-contractors in planning and executing work with particular emphasis on sequencing and timing
• Production scheduling and monitoring inspections
• Installation scheduling and monitoring inspection
• Correspondence with S/C and Roberts Constructions PM
• Programming monitoring / tracking 
• Facade safety monitoring 
• On & off site quality inspections
• WIR’s / NCR’s / MIR’s reports
• Staff targets (Inspections)
• Liaise with the client, the client’s agent or end users as determined by the Project Manager

Knowledge and Experience:

• Background in Engineering, Construction, Contact Facade and Glazed Windows Packages
• Knowledge of Contact Facade and Glazed Windows packages and experience in actual documentation delivery
• Abuility to read drawings 
• Knowledge of appicable Building Codes 

Educational Qualifications:

• Bachelors degree - Engineering, Architecture, Construction, Building or similar
• Knowledge of English language
