Field Application Engineer - Linux

Quectel Wireless Solutions, leading global supplier of 5G, LTE/LTE-A, LPWA, Smart Modules, Automotive/C-V2X modules, GSM/GPRS, UMTS/HSPA(+) and GNSS modules looking for Android developer/support engineers. As a professional IoT technology developer and cellular module supplier, Quectel is focused on providing one-stop service for IoT cellular modules. Due to global expansion and demand for smart modules in the NA market there are immediate openings in Belgrade R&D Center, Quectel is looking for motivated and proactive candidates to join our dynamic and growing team in Belgrade.

Required qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in electrical, telecommunications or computer science
• Preferably 2 years of working experience in the same/similar role
• Preferably experience with embedded software development lifecycle
• Good understanding of object-oriented languages
• Knowledge of Python/Shell and C/C++ and (Linux, Unix) OS environment
• Familiar with Linux file system, memory, process management, start-up process and other mechanisms
• Familiar with Linux operating system, Linux process thread communication, socket related development and use experience
• Experience in the development of Qualcomm platform smartphones / tablets is preferred
• Be able to read and understand the schematic diagram of hardware circuit, with the ability of hardware and software debugging is preferred;
• Experience with code revising
• Fluency in English

Main responsibilities:

• Development, customization, maintenance, implementation and design of a complex project modules and embedded software
• Responsible for the development and debugging of Linux common peripherals (UART, I2C, I2S, SPI, SDIO, EMMC, PWM, camera, LCD, gyroscope)
• Support and respond to technical queries and requirements to company customers
• Troubleshooting, bug fixing and improving application performance
• Discover, evaluate, and implement new technologies to maximize development efficiency
• Lead and guide junior members in the team.
