Freight Dispatcher (Logistics Coordinator)

Currently, we are looking for a Freight Dispatcher (Logistics Coordinator) to join the Prolead team. This position is a blend of Logistics Coordinator, Organizer and Customer Service. It builds a vast knowledge of FTL transportation in the U.S. that is used to match the Drivers with loads secured by Prolead.

The Logistics Coordinator Dispatcher offers a vast array of responsibilities and exposure to all aspects of a transportation operations and serves as the day-to-day contact for Drivers and Brokers/Customers.

Position provides the opportunity to excel into management of a team under your leadership.

As the Dispatcher/Logistics Coordinator, you will be a member of the Prolead Dispatch team. Your work hours will generally be 2:00 pm – 11:00 pm Monday to Friday with occasional irregular hours depending on workload while first shift hours will be 7:00 am – 3:00 pm. Work hours vary based on scheduling to provide market coverage during normal business hours.

Job responsibilities:

• Daily communication with drivers, securing the best loads for them (by using DAT power load board)
• Organizing work and prioritizing tasks
• Solving daily logistic problems and dealing with possible bad issues with drivers and clients
• Building the cooperative approach with drivers and brokers and constantly creating new contacts
• Providing the best service for our drivers by analyzing the market
• Entering load information into our system and spreadsheets and informing managers in case of any problems
• Dispatch drivers to deliveries/pick-ups – providing addresses, reference numbers, appointment times, and contact info
• Tracking drivers with GPS software to ensure they’re on schedule for pick ups/deliveries

The skills and competencies we are looking for:

• At least two years of experience required
• A competitive individual, with ability to build strong relationships with clients
• Excellent knowledge of English both written and oral
• Highly developed sense of organization combined with ability to make priorities
• Patient, emphatic and good listener
• Ability to work under the pressure and to deal with unexpected situations
• Great communication and interpersonal skills
