Project Officer - Civil Society Organization and Local Government Interactions

They stand for development that balances economic viability, environmental suitability and social benefit, foster intercultural exchange of ideas, the exchange of experiences and knowledge. They work with CSO, private sector and government actors and encourage exchange among them at local, national and international levels.
We are looking for:
Project Officer - Civil Society Organization and Local Government Interactions

Main duties and responsibilities:
- Develop yearly plans of operations for assisting Civil Society Organizations (CSO) – Local Governments (LG) partnerships in joint actions and capacity development
- Lead on capacity building of LG (CSO-LG partnerships)
- Coach local mentors/trainers
- Assist LGs in strengthening their capacities towards participation, transparency and accountability
- Frame and coordinate the delivery of international and national technical assistance;
- Make contribution to policy dialogue;
- Facilitate multi-actor processes at the local and the national level;
- Contribute to the production of a high-quality documentation including periodic project reports;
- Share experiences and lessons learnt through different knowledge management platforms;
- Coordinate the work with other POs;
- Coordinate with other relevant projects in local governance and civil society support to assure synergies
Requirements:
- Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Public Management, Political Science, Social Science, Organizational and Institutional Development or related fields
- A minimum of 5 years of interdisciplinary work experience (preferably working in governmental sector or with CSO)
- Minimum 2 years of experience in working with LGs and CSOs, organization development, capacity building, networking, project planning & implementation, and reporting
Competencies and skills:
- Language: Fluency in English both written and spoken required
- Computer skills (MS Office)
- Excellent understanding of organizational systems and their dynamics
- Excellent understanding of political, economic and social context in Serbia
- Analytical and organizational skills
- Excellent skills in process facilitation and development
- Coaching and knowledge sharing skills
- Strong intercultural competencies
- Result-oriented, highly motivated person

- Excellent listening and communication skills (with sensitivity to cultural communication differences)
