Image Analysis Support Technician

We are a remote team creating software that manage the different phases of clinical trials. Our platform is used by doctors, nurses, managers, and many other roles all over the globe to manage clinical trials led by world-famous pharmaceutical companies. Through experience gained from over 19,000 clinical trials, they fuse scientific expertise and global scale into the broadest endpoint technology platform to enable pharmaceutical, biotech and medical device partners to transform lives. The Algorithms & Automation team manages dozens of medical image processing algorithms, processing several thousand of medical images each day, each originating from different hospitals around the world. The large variability in the data that we receive occasionally results in algorithm failures in production.

About this position:

• The role of the image analysis support technician will be to understand and fix these issues, in collaboration with the engineers of the team, as well as helping to automate our workflow.
• The technician will also help understand the underlying issues to improve our algorithms and contribute directly to the features and capabilities deployed in our applications.
• The tech will mostly be dealing with data issues, following fairly well defined procedures for investigating and fixing errors due to bad data. 
• Improving algorithms is still the responsibility of engineers. 
• Being able to write simple bash or python scripts would be very nice, but digging into hardcore C++ or Java code is not required.
• Fully remote position, following agile practices but adapting them to fit the company and team needs.

Qualifications and competencies:

• Bachelor degree or equivalent
• Intermediate knowledge of a least one programming language
• Interest for medicine and/or biology
• Attention to details, ability to follow a process
• Working knowledge of English

Nice to have

• Knowledge of medical imaging (physics, applications, DICOM standard)
• Experience with image processing algorithms
• Working knowledge of Linux
• Experience with Python, Matlab, and C++
