ClassRT - Canadian-based startup looking for an enthusiastic, creative DevOps engineer/developer who has experience with AWS cloud. The successful candidate will operate in a multi-faceted role that will serve as an opportunity for skill development, creative problem solving, and a chance to work with a cutting edge techstack. Responsibilities:
- Streamline development release processes with some of the most cutting-edge technologies, Kubernetes, ArgoCD, Helm charts, Teraform
- Manage ClassRT cloud services
- Implement monitoring by using Graphana and Prometheus
- Implement alerting
- Implement draining of logs into the ELK stack
- Improving and managing ClassRT infrastructure security
- Consult with developers on newer architecture and help scale/troubleshoot existing architecture
- Implement disaster recovery procedures
- Stay current with the new technologies evaluating and implementing solutions that align with ClassRT and DevOps needs
Skills and Expertise Required:
- Experience building and operating Kubernetes clusters in production
- Experience with AWS service especially load balancers, ECR, EKS, EC2, CodeBuild, CodePipeline etc.
- Extensive Docker experience
- Extensive experience in building process automation, build and deployment pipelines
- Thorough understanding of software development processes (Git, Branching, testing, CICD)
- Knowledge of corporate security obligations including PCI compliance is a plus
- Ability to self-start and deep dive into upcoming technologies
- Strong critical thinking and troubleshooting experience
- Willing to participate in an 24/7 on-call rotation and experience with incident management and post-mortem follow ups
- Interpersonal skills working on various levels of management and colleagues
- Excellent communication skills, both written and oral (in English)
- University Degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering or equivalent knowledge/experience
