Investment Analyst for Belgrade, Serbia (m/f/d)

Key responsibilities:

Supporting on- and off-site due diligence processes for debt investments in financial institutions (banks, leasing companies, microfinance institutions, etc.), including the organization of due diligences and writing of investment proposals
Monitoring of existing debt investments, based on financial reports and client visits
Monitoring/analyzing key economic and financial sector trends, including regulatory and supervisory policies
Supporting internal and external reporting regarding investments, fund performance and countries of operations
Identifying technical assistance needs of financial institutions or market participants in the area of Micro/SME as well as energy efficiency/renewable energy finance
Promoting responsible finance through dialogue with respective stakeholders, investment structuring, workshops and initiatives

What we expect:

University degree, or equivalent, preferably in economics, finance or business
Relevant professional experience in banking or financial institutions
Strong analytical skills and good attention to details
Ability to read and understand financial statements/ratios and analyze trends/developments
Demonstrated skills in analyzing financial institutions and banks
Excellent knowledge of the financial sector as well as the operating environment in Serbia and other Western Balkans countries
Excellent written and oral communication, and presentation skills in both English and Serbian
Strong analytical skills, excellent command of excel
Knowledge of development finance, including Micro/SME finance and/or EE/RE finance would be an advantage
Strong team player, open and engaging communication style and strong inter-personal skills
Willingness to travel to other countries of operations
